Senior Project:

My senior project fulfilled this requirement in utmost detail. The project goal was to design and implement a monitoring system that would measure solar irradiance (power / area) coming in through our solar panels, and also measure the voltage on our batteries. The second goal was to design a control system that would use the monitoring systems data to control relays that allowed power to lighting system, and also to turn our electrolysis machine on and off.

At first our team was very intimidated by the need to convert common 4 cylinder engines to use hydrogen. However, upon our first inspections, we noticed how simple the conversions would be! It literally took us no longer than a three days to convert all of our products to use hydrogen.

The project was a complete success. I have to thank my professor, Dr. Troy McBride for giving me the opportunity to be part of the continuous Solar Cabin Development project.

Electronics Design Project:

In this project I was to design a simple lab to explain the benefits of using a cascoding amplifier. I somehow see now why it's so important for design. I didn't quite understand how the amplifier circuit worked beyond numbers and equations until I came up with my own simple design. Then I realized why the cascode setup, which is a common-source in series with a common-gate amplifier, is completely necessary in today's technology, such as Radio's.
