Auditions for Vocal Ensembles at Elizabethtown College
Auditions for E-town's select vocal ensembles are held at the beginning and end of the Fall semester and the end of Spring semester for the following year. You do NOT need to be a music major to join! Visit the Auditions Page for additional information.
A "town and gown" group, the College-Community Chorus is comprised of students, faculty, staff and community members, The ensemble performs a range of works. Recently, the group performed Gospel Mass by Robert Ray with the College's Jazz Band. Other works performed by the ensemble include Faure's Requiem, Voices of Sacrifice by Professor Jim Haines, and portions of Mendelssohn's Elijah. This ensemble is directed by Dr. Fritz
The Concert Choir is Elizabethtown College's premiere vocal ensemble comprised of students with varied backgrounds and majors. All share a common love of choral music. Throughout the College’s history, the Concert Choir has performed a wide selection of literature throughout the northeast, nationally and internationally including Ireland, Brazil, and South Africa.
