The S.S. Universe Explorer is a floating college campus complete with the familiar facilities of a college community including, but not limited to, 8 classrooms, 2 cafeteria-style dining areas, recreational/fitness areas, a health clinic, student life office, academic affairs office, student union, campus store, library, and computer lab. The ship specifications include: capacity of 739 people; cruising speed of 18 knots; tonnage of 23,500; length of 617 feet; and width of 84 feet.
