In the field of Engineering there are learning is the name of the game. With new ideas and technology introduced at an increasingly rapid pace, we know that it is absolutely essential to continue learning. As such, I have developed a brief Continuing Education Plan. This plan will enable me to set objectives for myself that will aid me in staying on the cutting-edge. Along with developing current skills, I will also set out to gain new ones.

I am a graduate of Elizabethtown College with a B.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Mechanics. This degree has provided me with exposure and understanding to a variety of topics, including LEAN techniques, systems design, Signals and Systems, Physics, Calculus, Chemistry, linear circuitry, and advanced investigation of ethical standards.

After a number of years of working in the field, I believe I would like to further my education with some graduate work and explore a Master’s in Business Administration (M.B.A.) or continue into a research oriented field. I will also pursue a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

It is my hope and ambition that I will fulfill my goals of becoming an expert in my field (whatever field that is) and that I never cease learning throughout my career.

I have spent many hours in the classroom learning theory, math, and methods for solving difficult problems. My greatest lesson, however, have come from my time outside the classroom. As President of Club FEAST I have been able to set project goals, design systems, work with budgets, and gain real leadership experience. As such, part of my Life-Long learning plan includes actively looking to gain leadership positions during my career. I know from past experience that to become a good, effective leader one has to practice. My hopes are to continue developing my leadership qualities in any route I choose in the future, industry or academic.
