Class Details
InfoMaker Introduction and Review
If you need to work with InfoMaker reports created by others or create your own, take this class. Covered are the basics of connecting to data, queries, joins and creating libraries and reports.
Open to college employees only.
Prerequisites: Jenzabar must be installed on office computer and user must be able to connect to the data.

Access 2007 – Level One (Introduction)
Learn the basic operations of the Access database program, understand the advantages of using a relational database. Work with tables, produce reports, create and maintain new databases.
The class is open to the public.
Prerequisites: Basic Excel knowledge

Access Level Two (Intermediate)
Create new databases, tables and relationships. Work with and revise queries, forms and reports.

Access Level Three (Advanced)
Structure data for maximum efficiency, write advanced queries, PivotTables, create macros and forms, make reports more effective and learn tricks to keep the database functioning well.

Excel 2007 - Introduction
Excel will let you easily create a list of students or other information, sort it and later use this list in Word with a Mail Merge(Check out two Mail Merge Classes on September 28 and September 29). Or maybe you're working with a spreadsheet but need to do more than just type information. This class will teach you how to set up a spreadsheet yourself, quickly enter information, create calculations, make the data look nice and then print it. Learn how to add new information without destroying existing calculations.

Excel 2007 - Formulas
You know how to use SUM and create simple formulas, now you are looking for more power from Excel. Learn how to work with the function library, 3-D ranges, text, math, logical and lookup functions.

Excel 2007 – Intermediate
You can setup a workbook and do some basic formulas, maybe even use the SUM function, but there is a lot more to learn. Printing is easier when you know how to insert page breaks or resize the printout to fit on one page. Working in large spreadsheets is a breeze with some easy to use tricks. AutoFill can take the place of copy and paste or insert number sequences. Charts can better explain your numbers. Even learn how to protect your shared work so others can only type in cells that are "safe".

Excel Pivot Tables
Learn how to create and modify pivot tables and pivot charts. If you have a long list of information to summarize, PivotTable helps you present endless rows and columns of numbers in a variety of meaningful ways. You could spend time sorting and filtering the data and setting up a series of formulas that would answer most of your questions, but using a PivotTable is a much quicker and easier way to find the answers.

PowerPoint 2007 – Introduction
Are you a Windows user who must learn PowerPoint? Do you need to create and present text slide presentations? This workshop introduces you to PowerPoint screen elements. Learn to navigate in and between presentations; create new slides; create, edit and format text in the outline and slide views; manipulate graphic objects; organize and format presentations; work with various PowerPoint masters; use advanced timesaving and text-formatting tools; and apply techniques to create a dynamic slide presentation.

Publisher Introduction
Publisher is a desktop publishing program that is much easier to use than Word when creating publications such as flyers, programs and newsletters. Join this introductory class to learn how to create and print a flyer and newsletter. This course is a prerequisite for Publisher - Booklets on 11/10/2009 and Publisher - Mail Merge on 12/4/09.

Publisher Mail Merge
Creating personalized invitations, seating cards or labels is easy. Just use an Excel file that contains the list of people and merge it with the publication. This feature is not often used because most people don’t know that Publisher has mail merge capability.

Publisher - Creating Booklets
Take letter size paper, turn it sideways and fold it in half, then nest other pages inside. Now you have a booklet. Use Publisher to easily print the correct pages on the front and back. Join the small class to quickly learn how to make a booklet.

Word - Introduction
In this class you will become familiar with the Word working environment, learn ways to navigate in your document and enter text, learn how to save documents in different formats, and how to work fast and efficiently with shortcuts; enhance the document's appearance by formatting paragraphs and text, producing standard business documents easily.

Word - Intermediate
If you use Microsoft Word 2007 on a regular basis, then once you have mastered the basic skills, the next step is to improve your proficiency. To do so, you can customize and automate the way Microsoft Word 2007 works for you. You can also improve the quality of your work by enhancing your documents with customized Microsoft Word 2007 elements. In this course, you will create complex documents in Microsoft Word 2007 by adding components such as, customized lists, tables, charts, and graphics. You will also create personalized Microsoft Word 2007 efficiency tools.

Word Mail Merge to Letters, Labels, Envelopes
Do you have lots of labels, letters or envelopes to complete, all with the same message, but personalized for the recipient? Word's mail merge is the way to go. It avoids the "Dear Sir or Madam". Even better, if you already have a list of people in any Excel spreadsheet or Access table, why reinvent the wheel? Use that pre-done list to create letters and more. Join this class to learn how to mail merge. The class size is small, so you will get lots of attention.
