Overview:
Different audiences need to see different parts of your spreadsheet. Hiding and un-hiding columns or rows, applying different print settings or filtering a list takes time, especially if you change settings several times a session.
Creating a custom view with the changed settings allows you to quickly select the right "look" for your spreadsheet.

Examples:
Original View
- All columns and rows show
- Portrait orientation
- No rows filtered

Custom View
- Columns H, I, J are hidden
- Landscape orientation
- Rows filtered to show only employees who work in Canada in Water Rides
