ANTIVIRUS TIP - How to Scan for Viruses

Elizabethtown College provides Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition to all students, faculty and staff. Currently, Version 10 with the latest virus definition updates is installed.

Check for Version and Virus Definition Date

Start Symantec AntiVirus - double-click the shield on the lower right corner of the monitor

Expand Scan: Click the + next to Scan
Select Full Scan

Progress of Scan displays
It may take 1/2 hour or more

If threats are found, you will be alerted
Delete each threat. If you have a lot, call the Help Desk at x3333
