Mallet Arranger and Instruction

n     I arranged parts of two songs for the marching band’s show in the Fall of 2001 and will arrange all but one of the songs that the mallet section contributes in for the Fall 2002 season. 

n     I also instruct the mallet percussion in both the outdoor and indoor seasons.

Interests and activities

 

I have varied interests, although most of them are in the arts.  Obviously, music is a big interest of mine.  I also enjoy writing stories and poems (see Patents and Publications) and photography.  I also enjoy historical events, stories, and places.

Volunteer experience

 

I volunteer with the Lewistown Area High School Panther Marching Band and Indoor Drum line as the mallet instructor.  I teach other students how to play the bells, xylophone, marimba, etc…  and according to my percussion superior do quite well at it. 

Patents and publications

 

I am a published poet.  I entered a poetry.com contest and was then published in one book, then recorded, and then in another for one poem.  I just recently entered the contest again to try and find money for school.

I also recently had another poem published.  It was desired for recording, but I chose not to do it this time.
