My Writings
Here you will
find some of my favorite creations, along with the story behind them.
"The
Most Precious Resource"
In a world
full of hope
A girl cries
In a world
full of love
A boy stands
alone
A girl who
thinks the world is hopeless
And a boy who
has been given no love
Are two peas
in a pod
Joined at the
hip
Bound to live
and die miserable lives
Not because
they want to
But because
they have no choice
No one will
help them
No one will
teach them
How can a
world so full of love and hope be so cruel?
Two of our
most precious resources are being destroyed
And after
they're gone
The world can
never possibly go on
Because those
resources are the boy and the girl
The children
If they are
destroyed
Humans will
soon disappear
Leaving the world
to be ruled by the savage beasts of the jungle
And the world
will no longer be a world of hope and love
But one of
brutality
Never again
to see the shadow of its former self
When and Why? I wrote this poem on January 21, 1998 during my
first high school class of the day. I was done with the work for the class and
had been thinking about something I had seen in that same class the previous
week. I started writing to kill the time and this is the end result. To this
day, it is still one of my favorite writings.
