Summer Internship in Bangladesh |

At least one student selected for the internship in summer 2014 will receive funding to cover expenses related to travel and an hourly wage for the duration of the internship program. Elizabethtown College has arranged with the Yunus Centre (founded by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus) to provide internships to our students in the summer of 2014. Interns will travel to Dhaka, Bangladesh, in the beginning of June and spend upto 3 months engaging in various activities related to the internship. Yunus Centre will help arrange your accommodations during your visit, and they will provide a coordinator to assist you with the internship schedule for each of the four weeks of the program. You will also be joining other interns from around the world at the Yunus Centre. The internship will be especially beneficial to students interested in:

In April 2012, Dr. Yunus delivered the College’s Ware Lecture on Peacemaking (for the general public) and the Carper Lecture on Ethics, Business and Society (for a largely business audience). In November 2012, the College hosted Ms. Holly Mosher, who gave a guest lecture in an economic development class, followed by a discussion of her movie Bonsai People at a public forum. In April 2013, the College hosted officers of the Yunus Centre at an event involving Dr. Carl Strikwerda, president of Elizabethtown College.
