THE ITALY STUDY TOUR

May 11 - 21, 2027

Interested in going to Rome? Fill out the form

What will we do in Rome?
We will attend briefing sessions at United Nations agencies, NGOs, and businesses. Cultural tours are also planned. Most of the briefings will occur in the morning and afternoon, with evenings largely free for exploring the city of Rome.

Can I get course credit for the study tour?
Yes. The study tour is an integral part of EC370 Perspectives on International Organizations. The course is offered in the spring semester, and will meet once a week on Mondays, 11:00am-12:20pm. It is open to all majors and classes (freshmen to seniors—and beyond!)

You may take the course for either 2 credits (EC370A) or 4 credits (EC370B). The 4-credit version serves as an elective for EC majors and EC minors; BAEC majors; IBEC majors; BA minors; FINEC majors; and IS minors.

The course is RBI--registration is done by the instructor.

How much will the study tour cost?
The program fee for Elizabethtown College students is $2,500. The program fee covers roundtrip airfare from the U.S. to Rome, lodging, and whole group travel in Rome. Other expenses—food, entertainment, additional travel, etc.—are the student’s responsibility. No additional tuition is required.

Scholarships
A scholarship of $600 is granted to all students enrolled in EC370. The net program cost for students is thus $1,900.

Payments
A non-refundable deposit of $300 is due by Sept 30, 2026. The remaining amount is due by Jan 6, 2027. Payments should be made at Faculty-Led Trip Payment. Select Italy under "Destination".

Group size
12-15 students. Spots are limited.
